In November 2003, m ARCHITECTS moved into the former FifthWardHotel, a rare survivor of Victorian commercial architecture in Houston.  Reconfigured for use as an architecture studio and part time art gallery, the design focuses on an efficient and modern office space, while minimizing the impact to the historic structure.  The project incorporates sustainable features such as zoned lighting, reuse of salvaged materials, and bamboo and waxed concrete flooring.
