The layering of public and private
space facilitated the creation of a tranquil sanctuary on one of
Johannesburg’s busiest roads. The building responds to the
limitations presented by the site, the client’s needs and the South
African climate. The illusion of space is created through the
integration of interior and exterior volumes, keeping in line with
the company’s vision to forge a link between architecture and
landscape.
