The general concept of this project is an ideal of a modular, flexible,
smart and sustainble house built with local materials. This house, with
adobe walls and skin in bamboo, has 50 m2 for a middle class family,
consisting of two parents and two childrens. The heart of the house
consists of a modular structure, fixed and closed, made of timber where
the most deprived areas are located, such as bathroom, double room,
storage, kitchen, and at the end a dinning room which merges with an
open space around the module. This open space area allows the family to
organize the house according to their needs an wishes: they can arrange a
living room, an office and two rooms, for example. It should be noted
that this house has a sloping ceiling with the more elevated part
aligned with the area where the module is located. A staircase allows
the family to access the to of it an enjoy from a flexible and versatile
space, as well as, from a superior overview of the house. Being so
flexible, this house can accomodate eight or ten people in the future.
