"wroom" is a creative collaboration working in the fields of design and architecture.
The team was asked to design the exhibition stand for Baerlocher, one of the world's leading plastic additive supplier, at the K2013 in Düsseldorf. The first question that came to mind was "How does a company, which doesn’t produce any costumer goods present itself?"
Because there were no products that could be exhibited, the stand itself became the exhibited product.
The chemical symbol of a plastic molecule becomes element of a complex , repeating spatial structure that visualizes the Baerlocher theme - we add character to plastic - in a fresh and innovative way.
It's built out of different polyhedrons and can be unwinded regularly. Similar to molecules they are self-supporting and modular expandable.
This Structure builts construction and space, becomes architecture.
Using 3D-Software and CNC-production the realization could be optimized.
