Established in 2008, Waechter Architecture (WA) is a full-service architecture, planning, and design firm with a growing and critically acclaimed body of work across a wide range of scales and types.
We’re believers in the ability of architecture to build community, elevate experience, and awaken the senses.
Our approach and spirit of collaboration invite everyone to share in a deeper understanding of the art of building. More than anything, we strive to build a culture that celebrates diverse voices, and that sees our clients as equal partners in the design and development process.
With a staff of 12 architects, designers, researchers, and technicians hailing from many cultures and countries of origin, Waechter Architecture is also a certified Emerging Small Business (ESB) in the State of Oregon.
Waechter’s work and design ethos are increasingly felt across the west and nationwide: In 2019, the Architecture League of New York recognized Waechter with its Emerging Voices Award. Founding Principal Ben Waechter was elected a Fellow of the AIA in 2022, and currently serves as a Peer Reviewer for the US General Services Administration. Most recently, Waechter received prestigious Firm Awards for small practices from AIA Northwest & Pacific Region and The Architects Newspaper.
