Valéria Gontijo + Arquitetos is an architecture and design studio with a multidisciplinary and original approach. We design residential, cultural, corporate, and public spaces around the world. Our studio is based in Brasília, in a 1970s house by master architect Zanine Caldas, surrounded by a tropical garden — a daily reminder of the modernist legacy of Brazil’s most modern city.
Founded by Valéria Gontijo, the studio is currently led by two main creative fronts. Isabela Moura has coordinated the architecture team since 2001, bringing with her construction precision, project management expertise, and a commitment to architectural excellence. Isabela Valença has directed the interiors team since 2000, known for her deep research into materials and objects, and her innate curatorial sensibility.
Throughout our journey, we have been honored with prestigious awards that recognize the excellence of our work. Our projects are noted for their elegance, combined with pure forms and high-quality craftsmanship. We focus on responding to the specific needs of each context, always in search of beauty through the act of building. We aim not only to meet the expectations of our clients, but to inspire collaborators, builders, and designers along the way.
We value the continuity of architectural research in Brazil and embrace projects that engage with new expressions of architecture in the country. Innovation, the use of new materials and technologies, and precision are fundamental to our process. We also prioritize sustainable practices and an environment that fosters shared creativity. Our work is a journey of inspiration, meant to enrich the lives of those who experience our spaces.
Each project becomes a living laboratory in constant evolution, where process is just as important as the final result. We believe that true innovation emerges when different perspectives and ideas meet and intertwine.
