The Okapi Project is an investigative design collaboration rooted in a
desire to join the practical and the poetic within tectonic parameters.
Framed by the mediation of site and the expression of materials, our
creativity derives from a subtle rigor which is both intellectual and
intuitive. Challenging accepted polarities and denying prescribed
boundaries, speculation presumes that a logical interlock can be
revealed. On this new ground, we seek the symbiotic relationship
between that which seems disparate; site and structure, engineering and
art, habitation and sculpture, program and budget, construction and
environmental sensitivity.
...b/c who said you can’t combine a giraffe and a zebra?
Courage is a prerequisite.
