TACKLEBOX is a design collective defined by collaboration between architects, designers and the client in an ongoing investigation of material, light and space. This work focuses on the interweaving of private and public moments, and the juxtaposition of crafted materials with the phenomena of our surrounding environment, creating instances of polarity that provide a richness in which we dwell. TACKLEBOX is a multi-disciplinary firm with a portfolio that includes residential housing, retail, interior design, custom furniture, and product design. In 2010, TACKLEBOX was selected by the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter as one of seven winners of its biennial design competition, New Practices New York. The firm’s work has been published in the New York Times, Architectural Record, Interior Design, I.D. Magazine, Space Magazine, The Architects Newspaper, Wound Magazine, Nylon, Paper Magazine, W Magazine, and in the upcoming publication “Shopping Architecture Now!” by TASCHEN.
