Studio TO is a Chilean architecture practice based in Pichilemu, founded in 2022 by architect Juan José Mena. The studio operates at the intersection of territory, climate, and local building culture — developing small- to medium-scale residential and civic projects across Chile's diverse regional landscapes.
In these firm, we conceived each project as a prototype — a response shaped by its specific site, climate, economy of means, and the constructive logic of the surrounding context. Rather than imposing form, the studio reads the territory first: topography, weather, local materials, and community dynamics all inform the spatial and tectonic language of each proposal.
This approach treats architecture not as an isolated object, but as a case study — a built argument that can be tested, refined, and adapted to future projects in similar conditions.
