Construction is the work of taking possibilities and putting them inside a structure.
Possibilites are usually visualized through form and spatial composition, but they can also be experienced in the textures and colors of materials, and sometimes in the subtle vibrations of light and sound. The work of SML is to discover possibilities under given conditions, with no preconceptions, and to create compounds by meticulously grafting the possibilities to be contained after construction. They pose questions about elements that have become static, suggest alternatives, and sometimes seek draatic reversals. They establish relationships among environmental conditions, scientific theories, space and function, and social and humanistic factors, and strive to create outcomes with potential through contemplation about interaction.
The scope of SML's work is unlimited, encompassing architecture, interior, furniture design, and environmental design. The context of our work applies to any space that is open to change, such as cities and regions, already completed interior space, and urban corner spaces. What matters is whether the seed of possibility we present will be able to flexibly react to the changing times and sprout a series of new possibilities.
SML discovers possibilities in each project, proposes another solution, always thinking of ways to hold new possibilities, and does not hesitate to create. We challenge ourselves so that we may choose the most ideal way of working. And we continue to work today, hoping that our efforts will bring happiness, touch hearts and sometimes become a source of inspiration.
