SHADOW ARCHITECTS is based on the idea of creating unique and functional design solutions. Led by architect Larry Cohn, we work closely with our clients to address their particular needs and to bring a project to fruition.The firm focuses on residential work in New York City and the surrounding areas, with projects varying widely in scope, budget and schedule. Past experience includes furniture and cabinetry design, apartment & house renovations, ground-up house construction, restaurant design, and existing building conversions to loft apartments. Where possible, we incorporate environmentally responsible design practices, not only through the use of "green" or otherwise sustainable materials, but also with ideas of passive heating and cooling, energy efficiency, and the repurposing of materials and buildings. Through this all, we continue to involve ourselves in the investigation of materials and form, to deliver a personalized, visually engaging product.
