The Robbrecht and Daem architecten agency was founded in 1975 Paul Robbrecht en Hilde Daem and has completed a diverse range of projects over a period of more than 30 years.The theme throughout their work is the relationship that they maintain between their architectural designs and the visual arts. They have also designed buildings to be used for performing arts and music. In 2008 they received the International Klippan Award for the reconversion of a former diary into a small Concert Hall for chamber music in Gaasbeek..Its only recently in October 2009 that they have been awarded by the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) for their work as International Fellow.
