reBuild Workshop is a Brooklyn-based, architect-led design-build practice transforming New York City's historic housing stock. Over ten years and more than 50 townhouse projects, we have developed a singular expertise: applying high-performance energy standards and elevated contemporary design to century-old masonry row houses — decarbonizing and reimagining them without erasing the character that makes neighborhoods worth preserving. Recent projects include Java Haus, a deep retrofit of a Greenpoint wood-frame row house featured in the New York Times, and Fillmore Place, a Passive House retrofit of a landmarked 1860 brick row house in Williamsburg.
