Platform 5 are Architects of the Possible.
We create architecture by finding potential in places, briefs and constraints that is not always immediately obvious. Our work ranges from the transformation of London homes and challenging urban sites to new houses in the countryside and by the water, alongside housing and mixed use developments.
Our architecture is shaped by people and place. We are interested in how light, material, landscape and carefully considered space can make everyday life richer, while responding intelligently to context, climate and the practical realities of building.
Founded in London in 2006, Platform 5 has developed a body of work characterised by inventive responses to complex sites and a strong connection between architecture, interiors and landscape.
Projects including Backwater, Shoffice, Mapledene Road and Book Tower House have received international recognition and been widely published. The practice’s work has been recognised by the RIBA Awards, NLA Don’t Move, Improve!, AJ Small Projects and Blueprint Awards, and featured in publications including Dezeen, Wallpaper, The Architects’ Journal and The Sunday Times.
