Crafting new design possibilities. Every Pierattelli Architetture project is a bespoke narrative, merging respect for a location’s history with contemporary needs.
Balancing past and present creates spaces that reflect a deep understanding of their context and a dialogue with the essence of the places.
Founded in Florence in 1980, the studio draws on more than 40 years of expertise in architecture, landscape, interior, and product design. Led by Massimo Pierattelli alongside his sons Andrea and Claudio and a dedicated team of 20 professionals, Pierattelli Architetture expanded its Italian presence in 2022 by opening a new office in Milan. Ongoing projects include the Learning Centre for Poste Italiane (Italian post office) and two bespoke single-family residences.
Originally focused on banking and corporate headquarters, the studio has evolved into a leader in sustainable architecture, promoting environmentally conscious transformations.
Its formal simplicity and use of locally sourced materials are reflected in the residential and hospitality projects where history blends with contemporary function. Among these projects: Yellow Square in Florence, which redefined the contemporary hostel, and Pieve Aldina, a boutique hotel in the Chianti region, Tuscany, part of the Relais&Châteaux collection, which resulted from the renovation of a former 12th-century bishop's complex.
With a focus on innovation, Pierattelli Architetture designs environments that integrate tradition, aesthetics, functionality, and environmental consciousness. The studio’s approach strengthens its identity within the contemporary architecture landscape.
