office haratori is an architecture office located in Zurich. The practice was founded in 2004 by Nahoko Hara and Zeno Vogel, from 2012 to 2016 it has been run together with Jürg Spaar. From mid 2016 onwards, office haratori is managed by Zeno Vogel and Mercè Portell. Office haratori has continuously dealt with projects along two main axes: firstly housing, in small conversions (a bedroom in an old tower house, combining two apartments in Strasbourg, the conversion of a barn in Mathon) or in large residential buildings (270 apartments in the Freilager Albisrieden, the facade of the residential high-rise Zölly in Zurich or a student residence in Eindhoven). Secondly urban developments/ transformations in numerous studies, test plannings and master plans. With the design of the entrance from the Park Hyatt or the new façade of the watch and jewelery firm Bucherer in Zurich, office haratori has tackled representative urban projects - always with demanding clients. Since 2007, office haratori has worked closely with office winhov from Amsterdam, in friendship, investigating the relevance of each others experience acquired through working in different contexts.
