Nobuo Araki/The Archetype

Born in Kumamoto in 1967.
Founded The Archetype in 1997.
In addition to private residences, offices and galleries, he has designed the retail interiors for Nike and Burton Snowboards, a series of shops for Soph., and Yoshimoto Kogyo’s Tokyo headquarters in Kabuki-cho, Shinjuku - for which built around the structure of a former elementary school. In 2000, he commenced work on "Stadium Project", a new architectural concept for football stadium. He also works closely with artists and designers on various projects across a range of fields, including consulting for various manufacturers, as well as producing furniture and architectural products.
