Nissen & Wentzlaff Architects (NW) are composed of over 40 employees based in Basel and at their project sites on the ground. Their team comprises architects with university degrees, along with experienced project managers and construction managers, whose common goal is to realise good architecture. They regard economic and functional parameters and time constraints as challenges, inspiring them to think.
Their most important tools are their clearly structured method of working, their creative working relationships with leading expert planners, and their receptiveness to the latest technical advances and the state of the art, in such areas as CAD planning and production (CAM) for example.
NW also work with their planning partners in a range of international teams. Their overriding priority is always to ensure that they have the strongest team possible for each project.
It is on this basis that the focus of their work has increasingly shifted towards the more complex areas of town planning and architecture. Much of their work results from their successful participation in design competitions.
