After studies at ETH Zurich and GSAPP/Columbia University New York supplemented with practical trainings in Basel and Berlin Niklaus Graber and Christoph Steiger (both *1968) founded their architectural office in 1995. They are interested in an architecture that gives a specific and individual response to each task assigned and that regards personal and subjectiv statements as well. Their work to date includes public and institutional buildings as well as private houses. Winning several competitions they could accomplish among others the School Complex in Buttikon, the Community Center in Wollerau, the Panorama Gallery Pilatus and the Window Factory in Hagendorn for wich they received several national and international awards. In 2007 they were participating at the Swiss contribution to the 7th International Architecture Biennale Sao Paulo. From 2008 to 2011they were teaching at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. They are invited regularly to give critics and lectures among others at ETH Zürich, EPF Lausanne, ZHAW Winterthur and FHNW Basel.
