NewSchool of Architecture and Design in San Diego, Calif., prepares students to be socially responsible leaders through a curriculum that emphasizes design, urban issues and environmental sustainability. Under the guidance of accomplished faculty and practicing professionals, students develop creativity and communication and critical-thinking skills through the institution’s collaborative design studio culture. In addition, students can work on real-world projects in the school’s unique Design Clinic classes that connect students with private clients and communitygroups. International experience is a core part of our mission, with students reaping benefits from the school’s Pacific Rim location near the U.S.-Mexico border and its membership in the LaureateInternational Universities network. Founded in 1980, NSAD is located in San Diego,
California. NSAD is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent
Colleges and Schools (ACICS). ACICS is listed as a nationally recognized
accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for
Higher Education Accreditation. NSAD’s Bachelor of Architecture, Master of
Architecture and Executive Master of Architecture programs are accredited by
the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
NSAD also offers a pre-professional Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, a
Bachelor of Science in Digital Media Arts, a Bachelor of Science in
Construction Management, a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, a Master of
Landscape Architecture, a Master of Construction Management and a Master of
Science in Architecture.
