MoodBuilders combines high-end visualization technology with architectural product design. We specialize in move-able, temporary architecture and building concepts within the recreation and dwelling industry.
Ir. Tim van der Grinten founded MoodBuilders in 2013. He graduated with a creative design of a nature-experience youth hostel in the riverbanks of the Maas. This project won the national student wood architecture award. After graduation from Avans Hogeschool in 2009 he started his architecture master’s program at the Technical University of Eindhoven. During his studies he was selected as the winner in the ecological hiker’s cabin design competition in which he entered. The competition was organized by the national natural camping association and further development started after winning the first competition. The combination of architecture, ecological design and natural experience in the design also brought him the wood challenge award for the 2nd time in 2011. It has been presented on the Dutch Design Week of 2012. He is able to combine his extensive knowledge on wood architecture with ecological and sustainable design. Besides the standard architectural commissions as recreation homes and social housing MoodBuilders also started developing housing & work concepts with a selected group of companies.
