Kaushik Mukherjee is an architect, interior designer, and urban design professional whose work spans architecture, hospitality, residential design, adaptive reuse, landscape planning, and heritage-sensitive interventions across India and Sri Lanka.
Following his formative years with renowned architect Channa Daswatte at MICD Associates (formerly Geoffrey Bawa Associates) in Sri Lanka, Kaushik Mukherjee Architects (KMA) is a multidisciplinary design practice engaged in architecture, interiors, landscape design, and master planning.
Based out of New Delhi and Bangalore, the studio works across India and South Asia. KMA is driven by a belief that architecture must emerge from a deep understanding of place, climate, culture, and context. The studio approaches every project as a unique opportunity to create environments that are both functionally robust and emotionally resonant, while remaining sensitive to the ecological and social character of their surroundings.
Sustainability is integral to KMA's design philosophy. The practice advocates environmentally responsive architecture that maximizes natural light and ventilation, embraces local materials and craftsmanship, and responds thoughtfully to the geo-physical characteristics of each site.
