JK DESIGN OFFICE is a research-driven, innovative design firm specialising in urban, architectural, interior, and related product design. Located in Hangzhou, China, the office is led by Jun Kai Zhou (JK). Our approach uses design as a means to break free from trends and styles, aiming to explore the essence of architecture and space. For various design projects, we adopt a research-based method akin to a Design Workshop to tackle different design tasks. While researching the nature of each project, we also develop effective design solutions. Our focus lies in the design considerations of structure, construction, space, materials, and light.
