InnoRenew CoE is innovative research institute exploring the use of renewable materials, like wood, in healthy built environments. Shortly after its founding in 2017, the process of design with co-creation of a research complex and its program began, which grew into the largest wooden building in Slovenia, completed in 2022. Since then, it serves as a research object itself where the institute’s researchers can deploy, test, and demonstrate new solutions, technologies, and systems to assess building materials, construction systems, occupant wellbeing, and social engagement. It has gathered, hosted, attracted and been visited by over 30.000 people.
