Amin Taha began an independent studio in 2001 while still working with Zaha Hadid and Muf Architecture, incorporating a practice in 2003 with two partners. As the studio continued to grow it embraced strengths that new members brought to the group and in doing so promoting a collaborative approach to new projects.
As profits, penury and polemics were shared we wanted to adopt a company structure that reflected its dynamic. Groupwork, an Employee ownership trust was born and is a direct reflection of how we have and hope to continue to operate with projects of all scales allowed to be interpreted independently across the office. As further background research builds and informs to revise our ideas, the openness of that process to find the poetic becomes its strength.
