Established in October 2006, GRAS is a satellite
branch of the well established architects practice Groves-Raines
Architects Ltd.Through constant dialogue with Groves-Raines
Architects, GRAS aims to produce progressive, sustainable and highly ambitious design solutions through thorough research and rigorous analysis of any given brief. Working collaboratively with a number of architectural practices, artists, designers and specialist consultants we understand that developing good working relationships with all members of a project team is crucial in achieving the high standards to which we aspire. GRAS has experience in a variety of fields including
architecture, interior design, urban planning, exhibition design,
graphic design, furniture design, and cultural analysis.Despite
the range in scale and type of work undertaken within the practice, we aim to treat every job with equal importance and strive to achieve the highest quality of architecture irrespective of budget or brief. Our work is driven by an
intuitive, yet highly responsive approach rather than a predetermined style. All design proposals are based on a solid foundation of research and a thorough understanding of client and end user requirements. Each project is carefully considered at local, national and often international level to fully appreciate its social and environmental impacts and ensure responsible solutions. Projects range form the micro
to macro scales and our approach goes beyond the boundaries of what is typically understood as architecture, entering graphic, audio visual and artistic fields.
