Esan Rahmani (M.Architecture) graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2007 .He joined international architecture practice LAVA (Laboratory for Visionary Architecture) in early 2007 working with Chris Bosse and Tobias Wallssier on several high profile projects, including the Michael Schumacher Tower, the winning scheme for Masdar City Center (UAE), (see video) and the Lend Lease/ Rogers, Stirk, Harbour Partners’ /FJMT /LAVA winning bid for Barangaroo (a $6 b development of Sydney’s East Darling Harbour site).Esan is currently consulting on projects requiring detailed resolution from advanced geometries at Tony Owen Partners. Providing specialist analytic advice and models to engineers, transforming complex & organic forms into logical systems ready for construction. He is also a casual teacher at the University of Technology, Sydney’s School of Architecture.Design philosophyDesign must inspire and enhance the user’s experiance of the spaces they inhabit. These heightened experiential moments are achieved through the control and manipulation of light, space and materials. Thus our designs focus on these three elements light, space and materiality. Regardless of the scale of a project our design approach deals with all three elements in a way that defines the building’s unique “form and feel”.
