In January 2015, Piet Hein Eek and Iggie Dekkers founded the architectural firm Eek en Dekkers (Piet Hein Eek Architectuur). We started working together when we realised that we both not only want to design, but also find the whole process important. The quality is defined by the management of the process. We think, draw, sell, organise, build and assist. As a matter of principle there is nothing we don’t do. Furthermore – and perhaps also as a logical consequence of wanting to do everything ourselves – we combine this with a very pragmatic approach that is always based on existing elements. For our customers we create from and with respect for the existing. This approach has already resulted in a series of diverse assignments. The biggest surprise is perhaps that the desired result is almost a natural consequence of our way of working.
