Dufner Heighes is a full-service interior design and licensed architecture practice established in New York City in 1999. Whether working on residential or commercial projects, their work encompasses architecture, interior and furniture design, and art consultancy in the creation and expression of client identity. While employing a modern design philosophy, they use natural materials, texture, color, light, proportion and flow to create highly personal environments that always remember a project’s history, location and function. Projects range in scale from the renovation of New York City apartment interiors to ground-up construction on a 14,000 square foot single-family residence outside of Seattle, from a West-Chelsea art gallery to interiors for a new 70,000-square-foot of condo building.
Regardless of scale or location, the Dufner Heighes design process always begins with the client, investigating the specifics of the program, but also discovering the more subtle arrangements that personalize the project. By considering the interior and furniture design with the architecture, they are expertly qualified to provide a client with a complete environment attuned to their lifestyle. Greg Dufner and Daniel Heighes Wismer personally oversee every aspect of a project, from architectural drawings to interior design specifications to construction, and are equally comfortable managing the project team on a day-to-day basis for local projects or conveying the design intent across the country via phone, email and periodic site visits.
Recent press includes “The Up-and-Comers” in Departures, the American Express Platinum Member’s magazine, and inclusion in Metropolitan Home’s Design 100 The Last Word on Modern Interiors.
