Muncey began his interior design career with renown Northwest interior designer Marjorie Siegel. Dorian spent seven wonderful years as Marjorie's apprentice and although she has passed away, continues to influence Dorian's work and life.
Muncey received his undergraduate degree in Interior Design from the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. In addition to his interior design degree, Dorian minored in Performance Design and taught residential design at the college for three years.
Muncey went on to receive his Master's degree in Interior Design from Seattle's University of Washington. Dorian's interest in lighting and performance is evident in his chosen thesis: "Introducing Performance Lighting Into Residential Application". His extraordinary ability to use illumination as a powerful design element is reflected in his projects on his portfolio page.
