Fascinated
by visual arts, Delphine Mauroit, founder and manager of DMDesign &
Architecture, had always known she would pursue her calling ? architecture and
Interior design.
She
began a multifaceted career as a young spirited student at the Victor Horta Institute at the University
of Brussels, Belgium. During her studies, she had spent a year in Italy working
on architectural models, industrial design and urban projects.
In
2004, she had earned the privilege of collaborating with Yabu Pushelberg, a world-renowned Interior Design Company (www.yabupushelberg.com), based in
Toronto and New York, where she worked on high-end projects such as luxury
hotels and exclusive boutiques. Delphine supervised exclusive projects,
including the Mandarin Hotel in
Barcelona and the Lane Crawford
Department Store in Hong Kong. Through this cutting-edge training, Delphine
gained creative skills, providing clients with the most unique, diverse and
professional services.
Two
years and a half later, she joined the New York branch of David Rockwell Architecture (www.rockwellgroup.com)
as a senior designer, and managed the design process and architectural aspects
of various projects, such as the 75-Wall
Condominium Residences and the Andaz
Hotel (www.75wall.com).
In
2009, Delphine founded DMDesign &
Architecture, her own boutique studio, one of a different taste and kind,
an innovating new approach, and an unusual multifaceted expertise. As the head
architect, Delphine always seeks to find comprehensive solutions for the tasks
she is responsible for and goes the extra mile to ensure an eventual optimal
outcome. Her skills and diverse expertise come handy at all times, whether she
engages in furniture design or in architectural projects. Involvement in
different areas keeps Delphine up to date with new technologies and ensures
notable unconventional designs.
