After several award-winning projects, including in 1999 EUROPAN5 in Rovaniemi, Finland, or in 2001 EUROPANdom in St. Peter, Reunion island, the tandem of Jerome de Alzua and Vanessa Barrois creates in 2002 the agency de Alzua+.
Laureate in 2004 of the price “Nouveaux Albums de la Jeune Architecture”, the agency is now based in Lille, Nantes and Paris. Its business is divided between public and functional facilities, collective housing and mixed projects.
Among the main achievements feature the conservation center of North Public County archives in Lille, the first positive energy building, in collaboration with ZigZag Architecture; the 60 children nursery and student housing program in Paris and recently the mutable Parking Silo at the Plaine Images in Roubaix.
The agency has also participated in major competitions, such as réinventer.paris on the site of the Massena station (Paris, 13th); mixed project in Lyon Confluence; the Louvre-Lens museum; the Dunkirk and Marseille Regional Contemporary Art Funds; and overseas, the Fargo urban project in the United States.
Currently, the agency managed several projects among which a 600 places carpark next to the railway station of Nantes; housing in southern Bretagne; functional accommodations and facilities (school, hotel, offices, multimedia library, sports gym ...) in the North of France.
