DCA origins dates back from 2003, gathering the combined efforts of 3 architects to make competition proposals in parallel with each partner individual activities. In 2005, after winning the 8th edition of Europan competition, the partners decided to officially found the DCA office.
With diverse backgrounds and with experience in internationally renowned offices, the three partners maintain a policy of inner debate in the project development process. On line with this, DCA office is considered as a laboratory with links to other project disciplines, tending to become an operational core for a multidisciplinary network.
DCA proposes architectures make a stand on contemporary issues, going beyond the trendy images common to much contemporary projects. DCA concepts refuse architecture as a self-referring object, putting aside the idea of style and signature.
Furthermore, DCA has a deep social awareness, transversal to all its proposals, avoiding falling in the commercial opportunism that sometimes is masked behind ecological and sustainability concerns.
