James Colizza was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. After completing a commerce degree at McGill University, he studied architecture at Ottawa’s Carleton University graduating in 1976. James has maintained an ongoing interest in the teaching of architecture, serving as both a sessional instructor and a design studio critic at the Carleton University School of Architecture.
Anthony Bruni was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He obtained his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Carleton University School of Architecture in 1999 and joined James Colizza Architect in 2000. Over the last decade he has served as the firm’s project architect and in 2011, Anthony became a partner in Colizza Bruni Architecture. His work has won several design awards including two City of Ottawa Urban Design Awards and two Awards of Design Excellence from the Ontario Association of Architects and most recently the OAA People’s choice Award.
