Wellesley MA Architect CACH Architecture is an interdisciplinary, design-driven practice with sustainability at the center of our mission. Founding Architect, Jonathan D. Cavanagh AIA, CPHP is Certified Passive House Consultant specializing in residential architecture. Jonathan has extensive experience working on large residences in towns around Boston and is intimately familiar with large house planning requirements for Wellesley and Weston Massachusetts. As a home designer with a passion for green building and energy efficient homes, he also has a broad network of general contractors and consultants who service this market. CACH Architecture works closely with clients as well as teams of consultants, contractors, artisans, and other stakeholders to produce engaging enduring architecture while also meeting schedule and budget constraints.
CACH Architecture firmly believes that clear communication across project teams is the key to the success of every project, and fully embraces high performance envelope solutions both with or without Passive House Certification. Believing that the most successful projects emerge through a sustained team effort, we offer a full set of custom home design services across all phases of design and construction.
CACH offers extensive home design experience with new construction, renovations, and additions in Boston/MetroWest regions, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Project locations have included urban, suburban, and rural areas, with experience in historically and ecologically sensitive contexts. Our approach to design is based in collaboration with clients, contractors, consultants, artists and artisans, town officials, and other stakeholders.
Underpinning our philosophy is a commitment to sustainability, resilience, and justice. For us, human and ecological health are deeply intertwined; one cannot have one without the other. Expanding our knowledge base to engage with building performance, community resiliency, material life cycles, and resource consumption is a driving force in our practice.
