As a child, Bobby Mukherji gravitated towards art and won several accolades for this inborn talent in competitive circles. His early exposure to the business of real estate and the realisation of its power to shape cities and lives were instrumental in him selecting architecture—a professional stream that combined both science and art—as a career. Moreover, Mukherji’s familial connections to theatre, including the art of stage-making, gave him unique insights into lighting as a design tool — which is ultimately embodied through powerful and atmospheric spatial renditions, ranging from the subdued to the theatrical.
He established Bobby Mukherrji Architects in 1992, while still a student of architecture, but with immense faith in his innate creativity. Mukherji’s subsequent experiences in the USA, specifically in New York and Los Angeles, further honed both, his talent and professionalism. Thus, each project designed by Bobby Murkerrji Architect is shaped by its founder’s intrinsic kinship to art, design and landscaping; an admiration for artisanal craftsmanship, a respect for the exactitude of technology and the knowledge of how design can impact the business of his clients.
