Abel Blancas Morán ( Mexico City,1980) started his education as an architect in Mexico City and received his Master of Advanced Studies degree from the Computer Aided Architectural Design Chair at the the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich.
In 2007 he started collaborating with Basel based architecture studio Herzog & deMeuron where he got involved at a conceptual and technical level in projects such as the Tate Modern Extension in London, The Orientalist Museum In Doha, Qatar and the Horsea Island Master Plan in Portsmouth UK.
In 2011 he established BLANCASMORAN , a Mexico City architecture agency dealing with space inhabitation at the small, medium and large scale. Since its foundation, BLANCASMORAN has conceived and taken to realisation projects of diverse typologies and scales including office, residential and leisure spaces.
