For almost two decades, Barry Beer has brought his keen eye for exceptional design to a variety of projects, both residential and commercial. He creates wonderful outdoor spaces, uniting the environment with the indoors in a harmonious fashion, and designing unique elements which artistically enhance the natural landscape - an atmosphere tailored to the site and the client. In addition to his creative talents, Barry Beer brings professionalism and a collaborative spirit to each project, enabling him to interact well with clients, architects and other design professionals. He remains intimately and actively involved in projects from inception through completion, ensuring that his vision is fully realized. His work has been featured in countless book and magazine publications. Five of the forty case studies in James Trulove's seminal book The New American Swimming Pool are from Barry Beer Design. He was honored with a National Residential Design Award from Garden Design magazine. His work was also featured on the HGTV special "Spectacular Pools." He has designed projects throughout Southern and Northern California as well as Nevada, Florida and the Bahamas. Barry Beer was born in Canada, graduated from the prestigious Landscape Architecture program at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto and founded his practice in Los Angeles in 1985. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects as well as the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects.
