Established in 2001 by Roberto Pasini and Andrea Ranieri, Architecture/Urbanism Service challenges the urban value of architectural components in a rapidly transforming landscape poised between rural and urban. AUS approaches architecture as a fact neither modern nor ancient, but general, with formulations abiding by stabile rules. A general yet democratic fact, producing a rather simple construct apt to respond to instances hybridated by the variety of agencies intervening from the time of the plan to the time of the construction and later, during the inhabitation. Nevertheless as undeniable truth ought to be embedded in depth, as the outline of the sectional order, to remain intact in spite of the innumerable deformations the concept undergoes in the process of its embodiment.
