Assuming that a concept is only led to its best possible solution by an intense team cooperation, architectural design means an open and discursive process at Atelier Loidl. The outcome of our work is never repetitive design, but the result of customized and natural concepts responding to the particular wishes and needs of people.
Atelier Loidl was founded by Prof. Hans Loidl in Berlin in 1984 and is lead by its new owners Leonard Grosch, Bernd Joosten and Lorenz Kehl since 2005. Based in Berlin and in North Rhine-Westphalia, Atelier Loidl engages around 20 employees.
In times of globalization and with a conscience for the value of identity-establishing spaces, an abstract and concrete involvement with the spatial qualities of a project is our determining design criterion. From a large-scale idea to the ornamental detail, we search for design solutions that communicate with the specific location.
We believe in the poetry and timelessness that is inherent in precisely designed spaces. Our vision is to create this specific architectonic sensuality with adequate design media.
