Atelier ingarden was founded in Hangzhou in the autumn of 2021. With the theoretical background of the traditional Chinese architecture aesthetics of "buildings, villages, and cities are all gardens". Trying to complete architectural design using "basic construction" as the main method in various local environments in China. In recent years, atelier has taken urban micro-renewal as a key practice direction and has completed the renovation design of several micro-public spaces such as toilets, garbage stations and pocket parks in old cities, trying to re-establish order for these forgotten corner spaces and make them returns to daily life of the city. The lead architect Liang Hao graduated from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and the Oslo School of Architecture and Design in Norway (AHO) with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees respectively. He is currently a PhD candidate at the School of Architecture, China Academy of Art (CAA), and a member of the National Association of Norwegian Architects (MNAL).
