Arkitito was formed as an architectural design practice in 2005 and has continued to be a leading provider of design services in Sao Paolo.
The practice is located in Vila Madalena, which is a neighbourhood of the Pinheiros district in the western part of the city. The neighbourhood is known for its bustling nightlife and its history as a centre for Sao Paolo’s Bohemian culture and art. In fact, it is filled with dozens of art galleries and architectural studios.
Chantal and Tito, brothers and Architects are experts in designing dynamic spaces, whether commercial, scenographic, or residential. Some of their shops and houses have been widely published in Brazil.
The choice of the office location and site already gives a hint of the design taste and ideals of the Architects. The studio is set in a refurbished garage, the gates have been exchanged with Brazilian wood doors which open up completely to the outside, making the working space very enjoyable.
Being in a central area like Pinheiros, clients, suppliers, the Architects children with their babysitters, the eccentric father expert in computers on his bicycle, continuously pass by making this office friendly, vibrant, and dynamic.
Tito and Chantal followed the path of their mother who was also an Architect. Chantal was first, being the older sister, and Tito after a career playing in a famous Brazilian rock band decided to follow the family. Today Chantal and Tito are great collaborators.
Having been born in Sao Paulo, they have a vast variation of clients developing Designers Shops, Private Houses, Exhibition Spaces, Furnitures, Recording studios, and also a TV program set out to show the refurbishment process of great value historical buildings in the centre of Sao Paulo. The program shows the public how these sites can be easily cleaned, fixed, and given a greater value, instead of being totally demolished as it usually happens in Brazil.
With the eccentric character of Tito and great organization of Chantal they manage several varied projects with a studio of only 5 people.
Arkitito is always evolving and constantly searching for new and innovative ideas to enrich the great city of San Paulo. ¬¬
