Arbau carry out studies and projects in urban transformation, buildings , interiors, open spaces and objects intended as multiple aspects of a single idea: at each stage of any given project, particular attention is paid to the quality of materials and spaces, to economic and environmental sustainability, to flexibility, to the singularity of places and people, and to cultural changes.
Founded by Marta Baretti and Sara Carbonera, Arbau benefits from a network of collaborators and consultants which guarantee the coordination of a project and the provision ofany necessary assistance throughout every stage of its fruition, culminating in a made-to-measure solution. The partnership has acquired considerable expertise in projects of low environmental impact through the use of a combination of natural materials and innovative technology, with a watchful eye on design.
Arbau takes part in numerous tenders and competitions. It won the international competition for Paizza Barche in Mestre, Venice; for the Masterplan of the Rome Seafront (presented at the IX Biennale of Architecture at Venice), for the lake of S. Croce in Belluno, for Fontanelle square in Treviso and received prizes in countless others.
