Adriano Pimenta is an architect with over 20 years of practice in the elaboration of projects and, since 1997 connected to the development of work related to urban planning, transportation systems, housing and public spaces.
The work he has done between 1992 and 2006, in the office of the architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, allowed him to meet, develop and coordinate a vast and broad variety of projects such as the development and re-qualification of urban spaces and, between 1999 and 2006, the coordination of the work in the Metro do Porto project.
Since 2007 he’s settled in his own office where the projects undertaken comprehend and include transport systems, plans and urban waterfronts requalification’s, refurbishment and preservation of the heritage, development of housing typologies such as houses, condos and office buildings, manufacturing typologies and school buildings.
In 2013 he begins working as an Architecture and Urban Design consultant in the Riyadh Metro in the consortium RMTC formed by Egis, Parsons and Systra. The Metro Riyadh develops in 170kms The Metro Riyadh consists of 6 lines, tunnel, elevated and at grade tracks with 48 cut cover stations, 16 at grade stations, 25 elevated stations and 4 iconic stations. The work involves package 1 who is developed along two lines. Line 1 with 38kms and Line 2 with 25.3 kms.
All projects are developed emphasizing the teamwork with the developers, engineers, consultants, clients and public participation.
