AA Robins Architect is a small design-oriented studio with international projects and awards from Tel Aviv to Tokyo. Robins is a recipient of the Canada's Prix de Rome in Architecture, along with 'Architect of the Year', 'Interior Designer of the Year' and 'Eco Designer of the Year' in Western Living Magazine's 2015 awards. His Gulf Island House received 'Best House in Canada' from London's International Property Awards in 2016, and the RYU Apparel Store interior was voted 'Best Store' in the 2016 WGSN Global Fashion Futures Awards. The firm focusses on single family homes, but is also designing commercial projects up to $75m. Robins teaches at the University of BC regularly, and has been guest critic at schools across North America, including at SCI-Arc. The architectural projects are enriched by parallel investigations in screenwriting, fiction and art. Robins' latest non-fiction publication is the documentation of a period Vancouver house by architect Paul Merrick.
