A12 Associati is a professional partnership originally constituted in Genoa
in 1993 with the name of Gruppo A12, with the idea that the sharing of different
experiences and specific skills would have had a key-role in the cultural formation
of its members.
The activities of the group are focused on the themes of architecture, urbanism
and contemporary arts. Gruppo A12 participate to architectural competitions,
works in the field of the visual arts and promotes various cultural activities
trying to mix various knowledge and attitudes. In particular its main interest
is connected with the research on the transformation of the contemporary city
and on the critical role of architecture in relationship to the cultural and
social context where it takes form.
Gruppo A12 mix a collective structure, built around the lines of the theoretical
research, with the individual "stories" of its members. The professional
experiences of its members are one more occasion of stimulus. Since its beginnings
gruppo A12 has worked at very different scales, realizing architectural and
urban projects, installations and graphic design.
Since 2004, the current group members work together under the title of A12 Associates,
based in Milan.
At present, A12 Associati members are: Andrea Balestrero,
Gianandrea Barreca, Antonella Bruzzese, Maddalena De Ferrari, Massimiliano Marchica.
