“Touched By Luck”: Brazil’s Forests Guard This New Age Eco-Home

Architizer Editors Architizer Editors

Named after the Italian phrase for ‘touched by luck’, Fortunata House is an architectural ode to nature, merging reason and spirit in its design approach.

Built around a majestic Araucaria tree, the home’s placement prioritizes minimal disruption to the land, with its main structure raised on pilotis that lightly touch the earth.

Every material choice, from the in-situ molded concrete to the reused wood, not only respects the local environment and climate but also echoes the region’s traditional craftsmanship. The result is a dwelling that seamlessly integrates with its surroundings, embodying sustainability and honoring the beauty of the natural world.
