This Modern Building Borrows Secrets from Ancient Iran to Revolutionize Urban Integration

In this innovative project, a building is seamlessly integrated with the city to create a shared space, blurring the lines between architecture and urban life.

This “building-city” concept was inspired by feedback from locals in Qarah Ziya od Din and traditional Iranian design, where steps connect various spaces. The structure’s unique design lets people directly access the first floor, which overlooks the street.

A notable feature of the city is its storks, which nest on urban infrastructure and have inspired many local tales. The building’s design, especially from the first floor upwards, is crafted to harmonize with the surrounding neighborhood’s rooftop levels.
