Architizer Editors Architizer Editors

The House of Nature by ReVærk is located in Silkeborg, Denmark and makes ingenious uses of native building materials.

Wood is used as the main construction material for both the interior and exterior, as well as for insulation, minimizing the lifetime carbon footprint of the building. Additionally, the use of a screw pile foundation eliminates the need for concrete, allowing the building to extend in between the trees of the forest and providing each room with varied views and connections to the forest.
