Idyllic Island: Take a Tranquil Visit Through a Modern Take on a Traditional Typology

Architizer Editors Architizer Editors

The Swallow House, designed by Shulin Architectural Design and located on two islands at the center of Yangpi Wetland Park, features a unique landscape and great privacy. The seven tiny houses are surrounded by water and vegetation. They are distributed at appropriate intervals along the edge of the small islands to ensure each house has a spectacular view.

The hotel’s architecture echoes traditional Chinese buildings. For one, the proportion of space under the eaves is magnified, connecting the living space and nature. This creates a pleasant living space that brings closer relationships among people, the space and nature.
